Hi, I am Becky Rolland and owner of PARALEGALS IN A PINCH. I am a paralegal with 27 years experience in bankruptcy law, real estate law and insurance defense (premise liability, asbestos, environmental, oil and gas and maritime).
I am also a writer and have written for businesses professionally since 2004 (articles, press releases, web content direct mail, success stories, presentations). My publications include numerous articles and educational materials regarding the paralegal profession, including the bankruptcy chapter in, LESSONS FROM THE TOP PARALEGAL EXPERTS: The 15 Most Successful Paralegals and What You Can Learn From Them by Carole Bruno (Thompson Delmar Learning, 2008).
I started PARALEGALS IN A PINCH (f/k/a Freelance Paralegal Services) in 1997 while I was living in Boston. In 2002, I moved back to Louisiana and worked full time in a law office while doing occasional freelance paralegal work. In 2009, I met several experienced certified paralegals that wanted to work as freelance paralegals. PARALEGALS IN A PINCH is not an employment or job placement agency. Each paralegal who is referred work by an attorney works as an independent contractor.
Corbec Media, LLC grew from networking as well. Originally, I started taking a few jobs writing to supplement my paralegal business but when I moved back to Louisiana, I met many small business owners who just needed a hand with their websites, press releases or newsletters. I am now in partnership with web designers, digital managers and media buyers, again working as independent contractors.
